Staff are experienced in supporting children and young people who have previously struggled to settle in different educational placements. Firstly, the Staff focus on building positive relationships with the young people, enabling them to feel safe and ready to learn. From here, we focus on building confidence, emotional literacy and the following core values:
Exploration
Bravery
Curiosity
Helpfulness
Perseverance
Kindness
Positive Engagement
These are assessed by observation, clearly communicated back to the parent/carers and celebrated.
Based on the adjoining school site, we also have the expertise and support of a specialist therapeutic team including SALT and occupational therapist who can be accessed through seperate agreement.
